The Administrative/Operation Officer will implement and coordinate all activities aimed at ensuring the efficient administration and operations of the DIVA for Equality staff office and DHIVE Community Centre. The Officer will also ensure that office logistics are available and functional and provide clerical duties such as managing DIVA documents, filing, reception, doing postal box runs, running office errands, other general office runs, and maintaining the DHIVE centre. The Officer will also provide specific logistic support to the Executive Director.  Please be clear that this position at DIVA for Equality does not include any political advocacy tasks. It is designed to provide much-needed administrative capacity for DIVA for Equality, at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Qualities

  • Four or more years of office administration experience
  • Strong feminist values and respect for human rights principles – all rights for all.
  • Warm and welcoming to everyone, especially at-risk, high poverty, marginalised groups including LGBTQI+ people, people living with poverty, grassroots communities, governments, development institutions, etc. .
  • Calm, able to work quickly, and in a fast-paced, sometimes sensitive environment
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving, multitasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong people skills, mature, sense of humour and able to respect highest confidentiality
